| Paige's hair tells the wind story! |
We went to visit with mom and she was sleeping again but we got her up and went through the walking ritual again. Then she had her lunch and went to the restroom and washed her hands. She got a paper towel and wiped the sink down twice and threw the towel where she thought the trashcan was under the sink. Of course within an hour of the time we arrived, she was wanting to go to sleep so we got her settled and said we would come back later in the day.
We drove to Cape May and went to the Point then the kids climbed the observation tower which they loved and then we went to the lighthouse and Lindsay stayed with me while Chris, Paige and Teresa climbed to the top of the lighthouse. Lindsay and I both don't care much for heights and open staircases and Chris didn't like it much either. It didn't take them as long as I thought and soon we were off driving past the old hotels and inns along the beach front. We stopped at a place called Brothers Two and had pizza for lunch and it was great then Teresa wanted to find this brewery called Cape May Brewing who was making a beer just for the Pope called Yopo or you are only pope once...Ok, I'll go along with this. So we find it and go in and you get a free sample and honestly it was close to the worst thing I have ever tasted....even Teresa said it was bad but she wanted a T shirt and they were already sold out when we got there. It was packed in there. It has gotten progressively colder all day and the wind is steady. We head back to spend some time with mom.
More of the same...we follow her on her walk, help with dinner and then she is ready for a nap again. After an hour we are on our way back to Sea Isle and we are trying to figure out where and what to eat. We decide on seafood and call Mike's Dockside to see if we can take Lindsay there. All was well so we go and Teresa has a victory parallel parking the van in one try. It actually was very good and a huge amount of food which half was brought back for tomorrow. When enjoyed it and came back and I worked on the blog and Teresa worked on her computer trying to clear the kids phones to free up some space for them.
Another day in the books.

Well I read all of the blog(Thus far) in one sitting. It is excellent. Love the pictures. You certainly had a trying first day. Remind me not to fly Delta if Ican help it. I'm thinking the other residents took the Ju Ju fruits. A younger staff probably wouldn't even know what they were. Cool I got a shout out with the WAWA reference but. You need to take a picture of a WAWA to make your pictorial complete.
ReplyDeleteHave fun.
Mom is totally hanging in with us. I'm
ReplyDeleteImpressed! Especially after the impromptu tour of Cape May yesterday!
What great family photos!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should call the ale YOBO..."You Only want this Beer Once."
