We left and drove to Wildwood and walked around the boardwalk. There were a few stores open and an arcade where the kids played for awhile. The morning started out overcast and chilly but when we got here the sun was out and it got warm again. We stayed about an hour and drove back to Sea Isle along the beach road and just as we entered the approach to the bridge into Townsends Inlet, the seas were so rough that the waves were hitting the sea wall and crashing over the road. We were trying to get some photos of it and one wound up hitting the van while we drove by. I had never seen it crash over like that before...wow! We ate lunch at home trying to clear leftovers out and then headed back to visit mom.

Mom was asleep as usual. It was about 5:45 and we saw the dinner cart in the hall. We thought she was getting ready to be served. She sat up and we asked her if she had eaten and she said no. After a half hour, Teresa went to ask where her dinner was and they said she had eaten in the dining room at 5! When we told her she said yes she had. We did go and get her ice cream sundae that she didn't finish the other night and we put in the freezer at the nurses station. She finished that and had a couple pieces of candy we brought and told us goodnight because she said she was going to sleep now....ok then. We tucked her in and said our goodbyes and headed home.
We got pizza for dinner from the store on the corner and it came in a box with the Pope on the front...Teresa and I couldn't stop laughing..reminded me of a SNL skit from years ago..Find the Pope in the Pizza! The plan is to get up, clean up and pack up to get out of here. Go visit mom one more time before we head out to Philly. Probably won't post again until after I am home and can organize the rest of the photos to post.

Despite a few, shall we say...bumps, it sounds as if you all had a good visit with your mom. And at her age the quality of the time, rather than the quantity was important, even if you were so boring you kept putting her to sleep! Hope you had a safe trip home. Can't wait to see a photo of the Pope in the Pizza.
